In all honesty, I see it too. I was just yankin her chain. hehehehe.....
People like Lake....IMHO....are part of the problem. Accepting church doctrine without so much as a question. I guess that's why they call it faith.
If a priest tells me that if I don't confess my sins or take the sacrement or whatever ritual it is, I won't get into heaven. Well I have to question if that is what a benevolent God also believes.
Likewise, if the Church says I have to stay married to an adulterer because divorce is verbotten what then? What if he beats on me? I get divorced and suddenly I'm not worthy?? God won't love me??
Or I'm a teacher in a catholic school and make a mistake and get pregnant. Not only am I fired but I've committed a sin in the eyes of the church. But before my mistake, I tithed 20% of my salary to the church. I "adopted" an underprivleged family and provided them food and clothing. I was a mentor to challenge students and helped them get into college. But one mistake and I'm not worthy of God's love.
All religion is bullshit.
